Presentability is often in small details that we overlook or forget but that the customers notice.

In preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the city of Vancouver will train its sex workers “to deal with international visitors and media”.

Training for prostitutes? What will they teach them?… If you have the same Olympic condom rings (source: www.yesbutnobutyes.com)idea than me, then your wrong. It is still a controversial topic

Training will include:

  • How to handle requests for photographs and interviews.
  • how to handle media aggressiveness
  • Liberty to refuse to do an interview
  • etc.

The Prostitution Alternatives Counselling and Education Society (PACE) wants to help its members by informing them about their rights.

This program is created to help the sex workers. But, it has a side effect. It will contribute to enhance the presentability of the city of Vancouver and the Olympic games.

A bad interview with a prostitute that is broadcast worldwide is not good for the image.

I am wondering if the PACE program is endorse by the Canadian Olympic committee? Probably not. However, the program will probably help them reach one of their goals: project a excellent image of Vancouver.
